VMC and IMC Clubs

The VMC Club meets this coming Sunday at 6:30, but the IMC Club is meeting one week later than usual, on the 18th at 6:00.

From Headquarters

In the monthly Chapter Video, HQ reports 2023 was successful and membership held steady. Young Eagles flights are back to 2015 levels. As to regulations, MOSAIC and UL fuel are progressing. MOSAIC is aiming for mostly a limit on the clean stall with the gross weight limit a secondary concern. AeroEducate is growing and is meant to be a follow-on to a Young Eagles flight.

Treasury

Volunteers for an audit committee are needed.

Youth Programs

Young Eagles

The chapter's coordinator, Todd Moore, has suggested scheduling three or four rallies this year and placing them on the chapter and the Young Eagle's calendars. That way, if weather scrubs one weekend, the kids will already know when is the next opportunity. Pilots please contact Todd for more information.

Airplane Building

The weather interfered with two of the build sessions last month, so mounting the engine will be no sooner than late this month. The main landing gear is on, the upper sheet metal and instrument panel are fit (correctly this time), and the nose gear is being fitted.
